The Clean Water for Somalia project aims to address the critical water shortage affecting rural communities in the Galmudug region. By drilling deep wells equipped with solar-powered pumps, we will provide sustainable access to clean drinking water for over 15,000 people across 10 villages.
Water scarcity has been a persistent challenge, forcing families to travel long distances or rely on contaminated sources. This project will not only improve health outcomes but also free up time for children to attend school and for adults to engage in productive work.
Each well will be maintained by trained local technicians, ensuring long-term sustainability. The project includes a 5-year maintenance fund to cover repairs and upkeep.
